Jessica + Brian | Anniversary
Jessica contacted me a while back explaining how she would be celebrating her five year wedding anniversary with hubby Brian in July. She didn't have the opportunity to get photographs taken then & she felt that now would be a great opportunity to capture the two as they've grown together over the years.
Jessica discovered me through a recent client of mine - the air boat couple, Jayde & Grady- so it was only natural that she as well choose an amazing location- a farm (her mothers)! For the record, firefighters have the coolest wives! So as I traveled out to Grant, where I had no idea that farms even existed! - I found myself - first driving down the wrong driveway- yikes! But I was quickly saved from the ferocious dogs that weren't expecting me next door. As I pulled up I did a little happy dance secretly in my car because the location was insane!! To start, her mother has a bazillion goats- most of which are pregnant, sixteen dogs, two big horses, two mini horses, chickens, turkeys, & the whole shebang!! You'd think it was overly crowded, but they actually have the most beautiful serene areas hidden all throughout the farm - and of course we took advantage of all of them!
To start, Jessica came up with the fabulous idea to re-create the "American Gothic" pose.. So she packed on her tool belt (& yes she actually uses the belt & mask) .. She & Brian have a business on Etsy - Triple7Recycled building the coolest reclaimed wood tables & accessories. Naturally this photo was fitting. :)

And as the session continued, we really just played around and explored the land - utilizing every little creative area.

According to Jessie, catching a turkey is easy... NOT! This thing ran for it's life! haha

I really love these shots, especially the very first one, it almost looks like a book cover. I've celebrated my anniversary in more ways than one, but this is an extremely unique way to do it. You did an amazing job!
